These feel really solid, heavier than other oakleys I own. the hinges appear to actually have a pin running through them rather than just relying on o-matter and friction like some other frames. the shape, weight, and width of the stems at the temples makes them feel (and look) rather like safety glasses. On the upside, since very little light can make its way around the frame, you don't get glare when the sun is behind or on the side of you
