I picked up all 6 of these and I think they are fantastic. The updated etching of "Oakley" on the lens is a nice way to set apart the vintage from the re-release. Another nice change is the different colored temples... white and yellow, which I don't believe were ever produced prior to the re-release. Even though the frames are huge I simply can't get over how comfortable they are... some say just the opposite but I beg to differ. Extremely lightweight and maximum coverage. In the process of customizing a re-release right now. Oakley also did a few custom colorways of the Eyeshade for Mike Posner's 2010 "Cooler Than Me" video: White/Ice Iridium
Yellow/Grey
Red/Grey
Khaki/(Mystery Lens)
The rarity of these frame here being the Ice Iridium lens, red temples on the red frame, yellow frame, khaki colored frame and temples and the mystery colored lens...appears white opaque.

Oakley are celebrating their 30th anniversary, reintroducing the piece of eyewear that started it all:the oakley eyeshade!!!While I don't own the glasses yet,nor I know whether I will ever obtain them, one thing is for sure. That they are a great return to the roots,to the pieces of eyewear that defined a whole age.All color combinations are nice, and along with my best wishes for the occasion,I wish oakley reintroduced many more models from their glorious past, such as the minute, the xx or the new straight jacket. In spite of the fashion/trend orientation that we have whitnessed since 2005,oakley seem not to forget where they came from,or what they stand for and what they are really all about:Makers of high end sunglasses that are a league all their own.Happy 30th anniversary oakley!!!
