These are similar to the Whisker only slightly smaller (overall) and more rounded lenses with a slightly wider bridge. They fit my fat head a bit tighter than the Whisker and are noticeably heavier. I keep them in my rotation but do not wear them as often as my Whiskers (which I have four pairs of and LOVE them)

I went into a Sunglass Hut and tried on a bunch of Oakley shades, and these fit best and were most comfortable. They are very similar to the Whisker, except the lenses extend lower and are more rounded so they look a little less aggressive. I noticed that most Oakley sunglasses sit too high for me. The arms are also a little thicker than the Whisker's. If you're looking for high performance Oakley shades but don't want to look like you're in an action movie, these are among the best.

Can anyone compare them with whisker please? How is the frame compared? Does anyone have perhaps both an can tell if they are equal or smaller? I habe 2 pairs of whiskers and for me they are perfect. But I like the ice iridium polarized one.

Thanks in advance

This is a good frame for medium heads, but a poor successor to the A Wire series. If I could rate it on fit and feel only, I'd give it 5 stars, but the styling is bland, and I feel that the A wire 2.0 was left behind for the sake of selling something different, and not for a product improvement. The wide, flat earsocks are comfortable and hold the frame securely, and the lack of spring hinges mean you can tweak the frame to fit your face and fit straight every time. This is an advantage non-springed frames have that is often overlooked, so I'm happy Oakley is releasing new models with this design.

Frame: Light
Lens: Grey Transition with hardcoating RX lenses

I hate wearing specs, mainly due to the frames being so flat making everything I look at be in a 'frame', as well as marginal distortion when moving my head.

Originally I bought a set of oakleys with RX system lenses as a pair of driving sunglasses, but the lenses were so good I bought a set of Tightropes with grey transitions which I now wear every day. The clarity is amazing, there is no distortion from head movement, and the frame hold your head in all the right places. Simply the fact that I get better vision through a pair of sunglasses than I do from my 'proper' specs says it all really.
