Read this before buying the Monster Balaclava! We finally had some good below zero days to truly try this out. Let me start with the good. It fits very good & is quite warm plus the Earstem loops are a great idea. Now the bad. most of the stuff which makes this look cool also has no function. The 2 nylon straps attached to the AP type rings are permenantly stitched in place so they have no functional purpose. The same goes for the 2 nylon loops on the front. underneath the Velcro flap there is a 2-layer panel of lycra type material that is such a high thread count that it's actually difficult to draw air through but, because it doesn't readily let air out coupled with the fact that the chin area fits very snug, means every warm, moist breath is deposited directly onto your HDO's making them very low definition. The Velcro flap does nothing to help this. Then there is a patch of the same ballistic nylon stitched in front of your mouth who's only purpose, as far as I can tell, is to further restrict air flow. Oakley could've definitely spent more time on functionality rather than making it look like it would be functional. This should not have won best apparal in the Icon Awards

Nicely done again only by Oakley. I have searched and searched for a cool looking one by every manufacturers around but none of them came close to matching to Oakleys. Having the 2 loops around the temple area really helps out holding the glasses in place. Wear one and you look like from the SWAT team! The only thing negative about this is the fabric....like using something more comfortable like cashmere but I won't really complain because this is mostly used as a display piece.
