These lenses look really nice and are very fashionable, but they are extremely light. With these on I can look in a mirror and see my eyes perfectly. So if you are looking for a light, very nice looking lens, these are for you. But if you want something to hide your eyes, pass on this one and get a dark or iridium coated lens.

It's kinda wierd, but I think these lenses really, really rock. I have them in a pair of Oakley Spikes. I shan't comment on the frames, but I'll stick to the lenses as this is a lens review.

These lenses have a fairly light tint, in a very, very pleasing tone. So why is this lens so good? Firstly, I want clarity and to be able to see the world as if my sunglasses aren't obscuring anything in my vision, while at the same time enjoying 100% UVA/UVB protection. Brown Gradient allow me to do all that in one step.

Dark tints while functional and glare stopping somehow make me feel like I'm missing part of the world that I'm looking at through them, no matter how you cut it. So on to Brown Gradient: like any other Oakley lens, it provides 100% UV protection, the brown tint on the top reduces glare and boosts contrast just so subtly, and the clear portion at the bottom improves visibility, especially in indoor/shady settings so that I don't need to take my sunglasses off at all even while indoors.

Some might argue that this might well be easily achieved with a pair of Transitions lenses (eg: VR50 to brown transitions). With first-hand experience with this pair in a pair of Monster Dogs (and them not turning dark enough for my liking, and being way too slow to respond to light changes=SOLD), Brown Gradient still tops Transitions.

The only con about this lens is that: without an Iridium coating, your eyes are only too visible to everyone else. I used to buy Oakley lenses for the Iridium coatings before. But I've discovered how nice this lens can be to look through, and Iridium would severely affect all the pluses that I mentioned just now. Great job with this one.

I really enjoy these lenses. Gradient lenses that Oakley has been coming out with really add to your fashion style. Gives you the chance to change it up a bit.
