The platinum fmj finish is really amazing.While the fmj 5.56 and fmj+ are certainly brighter and colder,thus being the perfect match for aggresive styles such as the splice,the platinum fmj goes all the way to the other side,and makes everything warm and mellow.I have it on one valve,and it is the perfect match,since it really balances the extreme edges of the frame,and it's still bright with a nice metallic glow.Like all fmj finishes I've used up to now,it managed to withstand the intense abuse,and only after repeated lens changes it chipped right where the lenses press against the frame when you're about to push them into the groove.I knew that this coating would rise up to the occasion.It's too bad I can't have it on the platinum unknown as the unknown is significantly smaller on me.
