Agree with the above. I pull out these goggles/lenses on blue bird spring days when it is too bright out skiing with my crowbars/H.I. persimmon (which in my opinion are the best overall lens when cloudy, snowy and with poor definition). I still squint some on the brightest of days and wouldn't purposely view the sun through them. 4+

This was my first lens in my goggles. I really like how it performs, but it only works for very bright days. It has a grey base, as opposed to an amber base on the sunglasses, which, in my opinion, makes it infinitely better. I wish goggle-spec fire iridium was used in sunglasses...

Awesome, awesome lens for true bluebird days. You can stare straight at the sun and not even have to squint. Crisp and super clear. As long as the suns blazing you can't go wrong with the fire lens. Not versitile at all. As soon as the clouds start to roll in you'll lose all definition and will be straining to see. Bad on partly cloudy days, downright horrible in flat light. I'm always baffled when I see people wearing this lens during a snowstorm. If I can hardly see with my hi-blue lens then these fools have got to be one step away from being blind with the fire lens. I give it four stars. Very good for super sunny conditions, very bad for everything else. I'm also not really a fan of the way it looks. A bit too flashy for my tastes.
