These are the original square wires. Still have them, but the front frame is bent pretty badly. I completely disassembled them and tried reforming them. For the most part, they are still good to wear, but the bent frame causes a tinge to come through the one lens (most likely from a gap). Squeezing the frame makes the tinge go away. I may have it repaired by an eyeglass place one day.
