Hi guys,

I am one of your newest members my name is Tobias, I come from Sweden. So I first got intressted by Oakley when I by accident bought a pair of Romeo in 2003.

After that i bought a few Juliets a pair of Mars Craters.

So here is a short story I will share with you.

I had just taken out my bike for the first time that year. The sun was shining and I was going fast, testing out my Romeo 1gen, when everything went black. I felt an impact and I knew I had ran the bike off the road. I don't remember much, but I was picked up by the ambulance after a golfball had hit me on the lens of my glasses.

My eyesight was saved due to my Oakley glasses. I looked as if I had been hit with a baseball bat in the face but once the swelling went down and the eyebrow had healed, I was ok. 2 months later the head of eye surgery called me asking me if I wanted the glasses back.

I contacted Oakley about my glasses and my story. They told me to send my pair to them. Two weeks later I got them back looking like new. The lens was replaced and it was free of charge!

This year I gave them away to my godson on his 18th birthday. Seems like he is wearing them everyday.

I was told the doctor bought the same kind if glasses, but I am not sure. I can't really express how thankful I am that I did not loose the eye. The doctor was 100% sure that it would have happened if I had not worn the glasses.

Also, Oakley, thanks for fixing them for me. My godson and I really appreciate it.

I added a photo in here, its with me wearing Crosslinks, not a very special kind of glasses but if you need prescription glasses I strongly recommend them since you can switch the lens very quicky.

The photo itself is very special to me the building in the background is the place where US forced dropped the bomb Little Boy over Hiroshima the 6th of august 1945. Very special place on a very special trip if you have the possibility to go there at some point I can strongly recommend it to you all.

Thanks for reading hope it wasn't too long :)

Cheers
Tobias.
