It's been a while... I had to get reading glasses and just haven't been that pumped over a pair of shades. My favorites are still my trusty hatchets. Every now and again I look for something similar. Are either the Chainlink or Badman similar in size and/or fit? The sweep of the Hatchets is what I love about them most. I have an set of Xmetal XX as reference as well.

Dang that looks sooo nice. I made Oakley friends with a guy that works at the optometrist today. He offered to cut em if I brought em. I want some emerald lenses for my brown frames, but now that you posted yours it reminds me I'm always a sucker for either red iridium. Thanks as always for the help.

Could someone suggest a currently available model lens to cut down to fit the old hatchet wires?

Well everything worked out. Got the refund.
So out of 2 risks I took this one and a pair ordered from someone with 0 feedback everything worked out.
The guy selling fakes gave me my money back.
The new guy who was super responsive and sent me almost an anoying amount of communication sent me a perfect pair of Brown Hatchets.

I kinda talked around the subject to him. I said I've never seen Hatchets, cloths or cases just like this and could he provide another picture. I'm excited to get the glasses and have 3 other pairs.
He replied back he bought the case and rags at wholesale and asked if I still wanted them
I said I really was interested in glasses but if he didn't feel comfortable sending them on he should let me know.
He said returns were a pain for him so if I was unsure he would refund the money.
I said that would be fine and I hoped we could keep the feedback neutral.
I don't have the money credited yet, but they dont seem to be being jerks.

yeah I would have too, I knew the case and rag were fake, but couldn't tell that well from my phone, sometimes technology isn't all it's cracked up to be. When I got home I knew. I feel so ashamed...

Cool. The hatchets fit me the best, I started riding a motorcycle to work and wanted something I wouldn't mind getting tore up so much.
The watch is a Jury that I'm guessing has been in it's box quite a while, and I got it off e-bay new in the box, so I don't know what kind of warranty it would have left.

1. What would you say is the next closest fit to hatchets. I really like the way they fit and am wondering what might be close as a different style.
2. What do you watch owners do when you need to replace the battery. Do you really have to send it back to O?

All Oakley all day on steep and Cheap
Today's Deals on Steep and Cheap:
Ahh, yes. Oak-a-lee? I seem to remember something from my childhood. Of course, things were very different back then. Yes, I remember it as if it only happened yesterday, but it was way back before all the neon pants and jacked-up trucks. Oakley began life as any other aspiring stock car racer living on the bayou. He liked his 'shine and chasing the three-legged pigs around the sty. Then Oakley went on study abroad to England when he went off to do some book learnin', and he spent most of his nights getting drunk with other Americans in pubs. He came back interested in fashion and design, and he gave up the racetrack for 5th Ave and black turtlenecks. But I reckon he made peace with his old ways and still gets back to the track once in awhile. Ol' Oakley--now what were you asking about?
Today on SteepandCheap we have all Oakley gear. We have Oakley O Frame Goggles for $22 and Oakley Twitch Sunglasses for $30. We also have some Men's Stamped Board Shorts and Oakley Men's Acid Rain Jackets.

More money out the door... Yellow frogskins on the way... Has anyone tried putting the old lenses in the new frogskins?
Apr 6, 2008 7:12 AM
I have traveld to quite a few different countries. I would always recomend trying what ever the local dish is there. Do not go to some crap shack on peir 39 for instance in San Fran. Ask the locals where they go and try the local specialty. Sometimes there are many in each big city,in the different districts or neighborhoods.

I'm die'n ovah heah , where are they?
Feb 17, 2008 10:06 PM
Both would be on the other side of town from Humble. The woodlands is about 35 miles north of Houston up I-45 and 290 goes kind of North West toward Brenham.
Is the woodlands store going to be a vault or o-store or is it known yet? (I live like 5 miles from the woodlands) and my wife now has frownie face.
Feb 17, 2008 7:47 PM
I was talking to the guy at the KatyMills Vault and he said there were going to be two new stores opening up. On at an outlet mall off 290 , and one in The Woodlands area. Does anyone know if this is true or have more detail about what kind of store is going where? I didn't even know there was an outlet mall offf 290...
