Yep, it's awesome that they are re-releasing some of the previously OOP books. Glad you're getting a copy, Dann. I've got the Frank Miler DD Companion and Elektra omnibuses on pre-order, so I'm happy about that.

On another note, I've been spoiled with Amazon's discounts previously and am just beginning to appreciate how good it was. It used to be we got 37% right off the bat on Omnibii as a standard in Canada. now it seems the norm is 10-25%

As for reading, 2016 will be the year of the manga for me. I have until now stayed away from the Japanese stuff, but I read Akira and it was great. Next up will be Attack on Titan. I have been slowly going through the anime on Netflix, which is enjoyable, so I think I will like the manga as well.

Not to butt in, but I have a question for anyone pretty much in regards to some comics and other stuff that I have. Ive been cleaning out my basement and am looking to get rid of some stuff but I'm not sure what to do with any of it. I came across a huge rubber maid container with G.I. Joe vehicles in it including a huge 3 tier mobile command center(name escapes me) and a shoe box full of Joes(unpackaged). Unfortunately all the vehicles are dusty/dirty from being in storage so long.

I also have a box full of Spawn action figures still in their packaging except for a few of them.

And lastly I found about 3-4 boxes of comics that are filled with pretty beat up. Mostly Tarzan, Conan the Barbarian, Thor and numerous others. I don't know what is worth anything and I don't know who to give it to if its not. Any thoughts?

Without seeing what you have for your GI Joes, in all likelihood you don't have any one single piece that is super valuable on the market. The entire thing can pull in a decent amount in total (assuming that they are all completed with all the weapons and accessories) but whether the cost of sale is too high is a personal decision. If they aren't complete, you can always sell it by auction as a "repair" lot and see where it goes.

Spawn isn't very much in demand nowdays, so you won't likely see a high amount for all of it (unless you simply have a large volume of it). There are a few pieces that will always pull in a good price, but most are fodder. If sold as a lot, you'd probably average $5-7/figure.

For comics, I guess Thor is likely your most valuable issues. But other than Silver Age or very key issues, most of them are fodder as well.

The real money is in out of print modern hard cover reprints for some weird reason. If you want to give them a look through, I'm usually interested in pre-2000 Marvel books. Shipping is the real killer though and can be a lot more than the value of the actual comics.

Good luck with the Spawn figures. I have a bunch I'd like to sell too but I'm not sure it'll be worth it. Been looking at doing it for a few years now. As Oak said not many of them are money makers these days. Not trying to be a bummer just letting you know I've been there with them. I still may put them up. I'd be happy to get what I paid for them at this point.

No worries at all and I welcome the honesty! That's why I asked on here:) My wife loves selling things on eBay so I'll give her a little assignment. Thanks again for your thoughts guys!

JP Only a select few Spawn figures will sell a little higher. Mainly Things like the Manga Spawn Series and Mandarin Spawn from series 14. Some of the original variants and fish tanks, too. I'll contact you to see what you have as I may be interested in a few that I never picked up.

The Manga, Mandarin and fish tanks are favorites. I actually have the Manga fish tank and still have my Poacher fish tank too, they are great pieces. Ruben I'll sell you mine too. HA!

I posted this somewhere on here before. :) More than anything now, it'd be a few select pieces I'd want to purchase boxed. Most would be for loose display purposes.

I actually have three of the items pictured. It was my goal at one time to have one of ever "Spawn." Spawn I, Spawn II, Spawn III, Spawn IV, Spawn V, etc - I got pretty close but never got them all.

Lol. I have Spawn ONLY from series 1-20. select other characters here and there too. I think I'm just missing medieval spawn from series 1, of all things. A lot of variants and repaints too. 86 figures total, iirc. Man, that's over 10 years ago.

I have a few. I didn't collect for completion, but picked up ones that looked cool. I also grabbed a lot from American McGee's Alice, and pretended that they were in the same universe. His X-Mas series was cool too:

Nice!

Speaking of long boxes, I'm a big fan of the drawer boxes. It's front loading rather than top loading to allow more convenient access:

Yeah, Oak for a little while I was. I never was into completing the series either. Not sure I have an entire one - aside from the Interlink series. Just thought that the Spawns themselves were usually cool enough to try and have one of each. Picked up other interesting ones along the way too.

Nice Dann. Never saw the American McGee's Alice before.

The long boxes. Cool. What amazing stuff resides in those?

I'd like those drawers too, but I feel like they'd be worth more than the comics inside.

These have mostly X-Titles. Nothing super valuable, but a lot are complete runs. I think I have almost everything from 1980-2000 with a few gaps here and there. Plus lots of Hologram covers!!!

Those seem nice but at $14.99 each seems a little high. I can see they would be more convenient, but I think my Comic Shop sells me a regular long box for 4 or 4.50.

Yep, it is steep relative to other boxes you can get. Still, I'm on a mission to replace all my current boxes with the drawer boxes. Should display nicely.

I wish I had picked up the 12" Issue 7 figure where they were readily available for cheap. Other than the cover to #1, #6 and 7 are the most memorable covers in the whole series for me.

It looks ok. Not quite convinced just yet because of the choice in villain, but I like Krysten Ritter in Breaking Bad so I'm sure she'll do good on the show.
