"Juxtaposing austere architectural details with oddball visual accents evokes a wicked sense of play. That spirit infuses the Oakley campus: a zip line once ran from the top of a building to a waterfilled ditch; in the back, a giant fire pit anchors a muddy tradition called Water Fest;"

The Rolling O Lab is a Renagade trailer sold and customized by Trailers of the East Coast:

-Valerio Architects helped complete Oakley's first four O Stores in 2002 as well as the Waikiki Beach O Store and London O Store in 2005

-"He recalls that once, an Oakley metallurgist, tinkering with ways to turn a superheated titanium alloy into thin, strong eyeglass frames, blew up a water-cooled copper crucible designed to handle 2,000-degree Fahrenheit temperatures -- sending a forklift through the wall of the forge. But Oakley also became the first eyewear company to use ceramic-magnesium components that are stronger and lighter than titanium."

Yep, now you just have to convince Colin Baden to do the designs, and you're set for life.

-The new Oakley tank aparently came from the Czech Republic.

http://oakley.ca/community/posts/1263

-The model of the tank is likely the Soviet BMP-1 (BVP-1 since it's Czech?)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMP-1

http://www.armscontrol.ru/atmtc/Arms_Systems/Land/Armored_Combat_Vehicles/Armor_Combat_Vehicles.htm#BMP-1

-Still can't find anyone who knows what the "453" stands for, but it might've been there when Oakley bought it. Here's another modified one for sale with 298 on the side:

Everyone has seen this charger for the Thump:

However, during the Thump's development, the team used a Phihong adaptor (parts # PSC03R-050) as the "prototype":

Lots of information in this link:
http://www.fundinguniverse.com/company-histories/Oakley-Inc-Company-History.html

-“As for landscaping, an architect who had done work for Great Britain's royal family designed prehistoric-looking rockwork to surround the campus.”
-“Oakley held its first-ever annual meeting for shareholders at El Toro, California, in June 1996. Jannard presided over the meeting, which was attended by basketball star Dennis Rodman and was held at the Command Museum at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station. Soldiers wearing Oakley camouflage Trenchcoat sunglasses directed shareholders at the base. Jannard, refusing as usual to allow his photograph to be taken, was wearing black M-Frames sunglasses during the meeting.”

The original Frogskins when made were extremely cheap to produce and brought in the most profit per pair sold. Money = Greenbacks, The back of the Frog used for Marketing was green, hence Frogskin. Found this bit of trivia from a Rep. Wonder how true it really is.

I guess thats even more true today than back then since the price has doubled now. Although $65 back then would have bought you a lot more stuff than $65 buys today... Interesting.
