Interesting stuff Oak! I didn't know the Predator we know was actually not the original concept. Same goes with Van Damme.

In one collector edition of Predator 1 DVD, there was plenty of bonus with first Predator costums, first optical camouflage post-prod attempts and nice stuff like that.

More and more spoilers in the trailers. I don't want to know what happens. I'm going to go see it. Blah.

I thought this movie was an April Fool's joke, but apparently it's very much real. Go figure.

Poor Gambit. He's been screwed over in the comics and chances are he'll be screwed over in the movies as well if this turns out to be true:

So here's your new Batman:

The new Batmobile looks like it's gonna be pretty cool as well.

Small world. Alain Moussi, one of my old MMA/Jiu Jitsu instructors landed himself the lead role in the Kickboxer remake:

Great stuff. Wish him nothing but the best.

He owns/runs/instructs at NX Martial Arts out of the greater Ottawa area:

The new Batman looks great - a good combo of the comic book world and the Nolan/real life style. The mobile doesn't look half bad either.

I love it. Obviously heavily inspired by the Dark Knight Returns. I hope the Noble Collection does a 1:1 statue of the cowl like they did with the Nolan Batman movie. I am hesitant on getting that one, but I'd get this version in a heartbeat.

The teaser to the Marvel/Disney Animation movie Big Hero 6 is finally out:

Not surprising it has a Pixar-like influence to it.

Yup, reborn... Hey, at least it's not another Origin going to the big screen. I remember seeing the first one on good ol' *free* brown box cable.

Saw Transformers: Age of Extinction recently. It may be universally hated, but I was entertained and found the only weak link was Mark Wahlberg. Ok, there were other horrible things as well like the way the Autobots were portrayed, the wasted potential of the Dinobots and the weak character lineup, but I intentionally overlooked all that to enjoy the movie.

The movie kinda seemed like an afterthought from what I can tell from the commercials and just even how they marketed it.

Watched The Raid: Redemption recently. It was recommended to me a while ago because the action was supposedly reminiscent of original Jet Li and Tony Jaa material. Not a bad movie. Action was good, grittier than I thought it'd be. I must be getting old however as I got bored of the action after a while, but as a whole, the action was good stuff. Well directed and great atmosphere setup.

The Raid was brutal. I felt exhausted after watching some of the scenes. The director does have some issue with pacing, but when the whole movie is a video game style work up to some boss fights, it's hard to keep it fresh. Just finished the sequel, and at 2.5 hours, it meandered for a long while until the last third, which didn't stop and mixed it up a bit.

Really enjoyed The Raid and thought the sequel was better. The fighting scenes were unbelievable.
