The "Screening Room" concept by Napster's Sean Parker will be a game changer if it ever comes to fruition. It's basically a home streaming service for new movies; the same day a new movie hits theatres, you can rent it on a your pre-purchase hardware.

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/How-Screening-Room-Program-Actually-Helps-Theaters-According-Close-Source-119537.html

The $50 rental for a given movie will include two tickets to the film in theaters, and a $20 kickback. To buy into the system, users will simply need to put down a $150 upfront cost for the necessary hardware. Although $50 for a movie may seem like an incredible sum of money, one must remember that it’s likely cheaper than the cost for a family of four to actually go to the theaters when tickets and concessions are factored into the equation, so consumers financially benefit as well.

For those who are hating the thought of going to the theatres nowadays, this is a blessing.

On that topic, I recommend "Downloaded" the documentary about Napster if you're nostalgic about the 90's era internet. Lots of memories flooded back.

A long-winder rant/review of Batman v Superman, but it is entertaining:

Looks like Cyclops does get a visor in addition to his RBs in X-men: Apocalypse:

I'm pleasantly surprised by Marvel's Doctor Strange teaser trailer. Though it borrows quite a bit from other movies (Inception, Batman Begins, Matrix), it does look great visually:

Better than the last attempt, of which the licensing fell through, but they made it anyway

Doctor Mordrid brings back a lot of memories. The horrible, horrible memories of a crappy movie. CBMs have come a long ways.

Being set in the '80s, I had thought it would've been perfect for an Eyeshade appearance.

You learn something every day. I didn't realize James Cameron and David Fincher put in their good word so that Deadpool could be made:

Saw the Batman v. Superman "Ultimate Cut" version. A marginally better movie that still suffers from choppy editing and head-scratching plot points with few scenes having any impact. Still visually beautiful as ever, though. If you've seen the theatrical version, you wouldn't get much out of it unless you are a big fan.

I watched it the other night(s). Took a few, but my days are long. I went in knowing the negative press, and largely left confused by the disjointed scenes, but the few action sees were top notch. I did end up liking Luthors portrayal.

Small world. Alain Moussi, one of my old MMA/Jiu Jitsu instructors landed himself the lead role in the Kickboxer remake:

Great stuff. Wish him nothing but the best.

He owns/runs/instructs at NX Martial Arts out of the greater Ottawa area:

The Kickboxer: Vengeance trailer is now out:

Nobody will be talking about the caliber of acting, but the predigree of martial artists they got involved is very impressive. I'm looking forward to this one.
