Just found these in the DB, and I must say I'm certainly looking forward to the Straight Jacket 2.0. Anyone that might know (that is if you are allowed to say) will they have the hydrophobic lenses?

They're not sport specific models, so I don't think so, but you never know.

I'm still unclear on whether this is a Straight Jacket 2.0 or a re-release of the last New Straight Jacket. Is it officially a 2.0 now?

It's just labeled 'Straight Jacket' like the New Square Wire was labeled 'Square Wire'. Same goes for the RazorBlade and A Wire, so until it comes out, it's hard to tell.

If it turns out to be a re-release, do you think it will look like the New Straight Jackets or the original Straight Jackets?

I hear there is a white camo/positive red coming out too
I'm curious what the shadow camo or whatever it was will look like. Maybe just a rename of Night Camo?

If it would end up being a re-release it would be of the last version, one of Oakley's best selling pair of glasses. Fingers crossed it's all new.

I have a soft spot for the Eye Jacket 2.0. Black Chrome/ Black Iridium Polarized was my first pair.

I've wanted a pair of Straight Jackets for a while now. Hope the new version rocks as hard as the older one.

try something morphed with a valve kind of...at least a certain portion has that Valve characteristic...and I agree with Rick all the way, EJ 2.0 WTF???? YUK...Looked better as a Time Bomb than in a pair of glasses. Just not cool...Some like them though, so they get the respect for sporting them. HAHA

Has anyone heard anything recently about the re-release of the Straight jackets?
When?
I read in Sept but is that still the planned release date or has it changed?
Which version of the SJ will these be?
I think the white chrome/+red will be SWEET, SWEET SWEEEEEET!

It will be considered a "Active Lifestyle" piece.
I hope this doesn't mean they'll be geared toward the "fashion trend". If that's the case I won't be interested.

'Active lifestyle' is a category that's been on oakley.com for a while now. You can see what sort of frames that designation refers to.

Cannon Red 2.0 Rock on. Bought on impluse and do not regret it. Some styles are not meant to be widely appreciated.
