It's a placeholder for the Ferrari frame. I don't want to put much else though to play it safe.

Okay.
Here's a beauty for the OCD among us, and you know who you are...

When you put your Os to bed, do you fold right arm over left, or left arm over right?

I'm right arm over left. If I think of it, it is primarily just habitual at this point of how I take of a pair, folding right over left seems to favor my right-handedness, and then the mechanics of holding and placing the eyewear in a microfiber bag.

Think I'm right over left. Not 100% sure, but I'm imagining it now, and folding left over right is causing some mental distress, so I guess that's wrong.

Quick question... Were there ever Rx lenses offered for the original Racing Jackets? There is a pair on Ebay France. Looks like an RX lens but the seller say polarized. I always thought this etching was for Rx.

You could get Rx lenses in anything, which is what this looks to be. Could be prescription polarized lenses if the seller insists they are indeed polarized.

But to answer the question straight up: Yes, there are polarized WJ lenses and there are Rx lenses offered as well.

My sister dropped off those exact three frames recently. Not too bad. I have a few Fates and Teaspoons in the collection for historical reasons.

Out of curiosity, I was wondering what is the significance of the grated metal plate that shows up occasionally on some pieces. I've seen it on the Employee Pin, the Employee Dog Tag, and now the Store Front Display. I tried looking in the database but didn't find a reference. Anyone know what this is supposed to emulate?

I'm not sure if there's a deeper significance aside from just being a design choice, but it originated on the Irvine Spectrum store.

I was all excited to contribute the Conduct to the list. But then realized they later came out with the Miss Conduct, which pretty much neutralizes the Conduct. I still rock the white/violet Conduct with some major sass.

Ah. Do you know about how long ago it first showed up? Is this a pretty recent addition to the Oakley-sphere or has it been around awhile?

I thought I remember O Stores started around 1997-1998, since they coincided with the Time Bomb's release. Since spectrum was the first O Store, perhaps around then. Unless the store front came later, in which case I have no idea. The first picture above was one I took in 2005. By my 2009 trip, it was already taken down and moved to the outskirts of HQ.

July 1999 is the official date of the first O Store, which obviously is the one in Irvine.

Ok. cool. It just looked vaguely familiar to me, as if it was loosely based on something else. I just can't place it at the moment.

I'm pretty sure I've asked this question before, but how are Madman sales in your area? Obviously the hope is that it sold super well so it gives Oakley incentive to release other crazy eyewear. In my area, I've been told sales of it is almost dead in the water. Hopefully your area is much better to make up the slack.

115, are you serious. Man, what a reduction. It's almost like what happened to the mars/crater/leather. I remember seeing those on almost clearance at one time.
