Yeah, it does bring back memories. Always wanted one as a kid but was way out of price range obviously. Near a couple years back, I had a chance to pick up an original Fort Max for $900. Had the box and foam, was in decent condition and was nearly complete. I passed on that deal and bought a TBII instead, since I got a spectacular price and got a bunch of Cube 1.0s thrown in for fun. Always wondered if I should've gone the other way. This re-release at least takes care of some of that (though I'll always want an original, too).

Just got in MP-12, with Amazon Japan exclusive pile drivers, yay!

Going to see where I can fit this in my tiny display case. I need to upgrade my case especially with Soundwave coming at the end of this year.

Already got it, haha. There's just no room to put it inside my current display case, it's in safe keeping though. It would be awesome if they started to make the coins for all the masterpieces that have already been released to match it all up, but then ugh, I don't really need more stuff to buy, haha.

I'm a big hat guy, so I thought those were kinda cool. I have no place for them in my Transformer collection, but I did get a kick out of them. Maybe if they were actual hat size and I could wear them, haha.

Two things I really like together... New Era and Transformers. Hopefully I'll be able to grab one.

Takara is going crazy with the Masterpiece line now. They got Lamborghini on board, now it looks like they got Nissan on board. MP-17 will be Prowl, MP-18 will be Smokescreen due out this Summer/Fall. My display case is not ready for this, haha.

Looking forward to it! They should eventually team up with Harley or Orange County Choppers and make Wreck Gar for MP-19, but I'm getting ahead of myself

So I now see Prowl and Bluestreak. Can't say I'm impressed. Maybe when more pics come out I'll change my mind.

Yea, it's an OK design, it is hard to put details like those that are on figures such as Optimus into smaller figures like that. I think the definition of the Masterpiece line has been re-defined with these new smaller figures.

The main thing that gets to me about the new figures, is that Takara is not putting as much effort into the finish. I never worried about paint application on any of my Masterpiece purchases until MP-12 Sideswipe. That was the first figure where I actually wasn't happy with the finish on my first purchase. Opening the box and finding paint chips is not what "masterpiece" is to me.

I'm still waiting for my pre-order of MP-13 (I was a little late in finally ordering it being caught up with Oakley lately, haha). I'm gonna be PO'd if my MP-13 has paint issues.

BB going back to a vintage Camaro for the next TF Movie, though you know there'll be a new one 2015 version as well (gotta sell cars, after all):

On the other end of the spectrum, I saw the worst ones ever the other day. They just painted the robot form on the bottom of a car.

Very interesting on Bumblebee. I guess VW might have softened their stance on the unwanted association with "war toys." $$$$$$$$$$ will do that, ha!

BTW, I haven't had any good Oakley buys lately (just a couple of stinkers that made me decide to take a little break), but I have completed my Takara Masterpiece "Team Superior" display (MP-05, MP-13, MP-15, MP-16 + JustIToys MP-05 upgrade package in background).

Very nice Adrian!

Wheeljack was my very first Transformer. I may have to grab the Masterpiece edition. I love the size of Metroplex. That might be on the list to get as well.

The Hasbro TRU version of Masterpiece Soundwave with all 5 cassettes. all for only $120. Amazing deal considering the Takara Soundwave with only Laserbeak is $200 alone.
