Is that Sliver XL Lead/Torch combo a Prizm lens? Would this be the same Prizm Torch as the goggle lens - Obsidian

Here's what I gather at the moment. The only goggle prizm that are currently in sunglasses are:

-M Frame Alpha (Rose, Black, Jade) because they share lenses with the Halo Goggle and get those options by proxy
-Wind Jacket 2 because those are technically catagorized under goggles
-The Prizm Snow collection of sport models. These explicitly state Prizm Snow, so unless a pair is part of these with the white frame, then it would be a normal Iridium lens.

As for naming, something like Sapphire Prizm Snow on the Radar EV would be a Prizm Snow base with Sapphire, same for Black.

Then while most non-iridium lenses simply use the base name for the lens name, it appears that Prizm Rose is the 'Lens' name for the 'Base' name of Prizm Snow without Iridium.

Buuuuut starting this Fall and into next year things should get a little more confusing as they roll out the full Prizm conversion into the non-sport, non-goggle frames. A good rule of thumb I think, will be that Prizm goggles and related lenses will be assumed to have Prizm Snow as a base. Sunglasses will explicitly state something like Prizm Snow Black Iridium, while the upcoming Prizm Black Iridium will be using the Prizm Daily base. Then once again, the non-iridium lens name will differ from the base name as it will actually be a Prizm Universal base, while Daily will be the marketing name.

That Latch appears to be Asian Fit based on the SKU

OK, the reason I asked is the colourway was just listed as Torch Iridium but the photo looks like it has a PRIZM etching on the lense. I wasn't sure if this was just a rendering mistake or there was a new PRIZM lens coming out.

Ah, I looked back and saw that Sliver stock photo. Still not sure what collection that's from, but it could be from the upcoming move to include more Prizm by default. Since it's a lifestyle frame, I'd guess it's Torch with Daily Prizm as a base.

If that's the case then it would be pretty sweet. I love Daily Prizm but it would be even better with an iridium coating

Obsidian, I thought you were referring to the Sliver XL in the Metals Collection. I didn't realize you were referring to this photo:

That definitely says PRIZM, and all my lenses with PRIZM have it etched on them (excepts for my OCP jawbreaker).

I do not know what collection that is from... the stems make me think it's a collection. I have seen that the various Sliver versions are getting PRIZM lenses in November.

The inside stems are completely different and the lenses are vented! Never would've thought they'd do this with a Sliver but maybe they're tweaking it into a Water Jacket sort of frame? - mlmguitar50

Halo Collection
Only 2 in this collection, and meant for skydiving I have been told... explains the vents on the lens. The inside of the stems on these are interesting. The Jawbreakers are just black.

PRIZM Snow Collection
These are really nice... they matched the icons to the lenses. I could definitely see getting the Jawbreaker to use on the slopes.

The Tropic is cool too

11 years of the GC and its still generating new cool colours. Certainly one of the top to be in the Oakley "Hall of Fame" if there ever is one.

Both the Multicam Alpine and Tropical are really nice. May need one of each...well someday.

I love the GC Oak! If given the option between that and a Fuel Cell I always do a GC. Just looks better on me... Well that's what I tell myself anyway😂

oooh this will be tough I have too many gascans and too many brooks but loving those new camos. maybe the gascans as they have a bigger canvas to show off the camo print.

Catalyst and Latch

just did some digging and found a place in Germany that says they have both of the corten frames but the catalyst has a prizm daily lens. I hope they are wrong, as I want this corten torch combo but would much prefer the catalyst to the latch me thinks!
