I find it really annoying that the site no longer even states what lens is in which model. It not only states frame colour.

Also the frame dimensions are no longer in the description which makes it hard to judge if a new style will fit your face.

If you hover your cursor over the image it usually tells you the frame and lens colour in the from:

Model Name - FRAME COLOUR / LENS COLOUR

It use to do that but now only shows the frame colour

Right-click and choose 'Copy Image Location'. Then either paste it into the URL bar or into notepad. The image name should be the full colorway; sometimes even having more inclusive frame names.

Thanks for the tip Dann but it seems like a cumbersome way to find out the lens type. I still don't understand why they don't just include it in one the webpage.

I agree, it just seems like the only way to get the true colorway. I also use the release booklets ahead of time to pre load the database. Guess in the end it just makes this site a bit more useful

I have been noticing a lot of inconsistencies on the main site. There's a lot of moving pieces that make a website work and every business should always pay a lot of attention to these small details as internet sales are a huge part of any business. Still, I give Oakley a pass (of sorts) on their site, as I can imagine the folks that run it probably have a lot of headache trying to keep up with every last-minute change to any given item, especially the new stuff. I bet some of them may have even learned to just not bother asking about presentation info on new products until they are given the "final" final spread to post up, and even then that may not always include the complete info.

They’re definitely new, it looks like they’re continue their discontinuation of the square o, with discontinuing the square o case for the ellipse o case.

Oakley MVP information is now on oakley.com. However, I cannot figure out how to join since I already have an account (seems like the 'join' link is only for people creating new accounts).

I got the flyer today, so they may be just auto-enrolling accounts.

If you were a part of the Type O program you were automatically enrolled in the new MVP program.

Got an email confirming my MVP status recently. Too bad the email came after the mailers were sent out. Maybe next time.

Any notice that when you add certain items to your cart the price increases? Noticed it on the Canadian site in particular backpacks (Kitchen Sink and Mechanism) along with at least the Mechanism on Oakley.com.

The Canadian site is wonky at times. Has been the case for at least the sales over the last couple weeks. During Black Friday, the listing for the Mechanism Backpack was $75 CAD on the “Bags” page. I was certainly excited when I saw that and was ready to buy. Turns out it reverts to $180 when you click on the link or add to cart.

Wow, that is totally a kicker when it shows at that price and then doubles plus more once in the cart - hmmm, makes you want to keep checking and adding to the cart on things. Hopefully at one time it will go the other way :-)

It's because those bags are resticted from discounts. It was probably a coding error that the show the discount.

I can't signed up for MVP as an account already exists for my email.

I have a standard Oakley.com account and also have a Loyalty Card (I believe it us Europe based).

Any ideas what I would need to do to get on the MVP scheme?

Boned! I used my MVP $50 off card and ordered a Mod3 Helmet for my wife and some filler items to get it over the minimum spend to use the discount code.

Ordered with the "free" 2 day shipping 2 weeks before Christmas.

Helmet arrived after Christmas, and the filler items were cancelled.

So I paid full retail for the helmet, it arrived late, and wasted 45 minutes with "chat" support to learn they cant help me get my $50 voucher back and I need to "call in" to customer service to take the issue further ;/

I sure dont FEEL like a MVP.

Looks like the product pages updated. The colorways are below the main image, and there's a better section for the lens profiles.

Those look pretty sweet. The "Lighning" hat kinda has a Metallica 1984 vibe to it.
