Crossrange
Oakley Crossrange Exploded View

Oakley's new Crossrange sunglasses were designed for those on the move. Whether it's for active use or simply exploring the city, the sunglasses were designed from the ground up to transform into a frame that is perfect for things like running or cycling and then can be changed up for everything else. What they've done is created a modular design that has easy to swap grippy earstems and nose pieces for sport and and an opposite of lower profile pieces for everyday use.

So where Switchlock focused on switching lenses, this frame let's you switch the fit and function. Not a new idea, I know. But it looks greatly improved upon. And I do like the option of switching between nosebomb and noseplug style nosepieces. THAT is a good idea and I wish more models had it.

I wonder what those connector pieces are made out of? They look like metal but that would probably make it too heavy. Other than that they look very similar to a Sliver. Very interesting.

Someone on Instagram had them in hand. I'll see if they can tell me.

I'm interested. I wonder if you'll be able to buy replacement arms besides the nose bombs. Maybe different materials or patterns (like Batwolf, Dispatch, etc. replacement Icons) to further add to individuality.

I fear the day the Jupiter Squared dies.

Added the colorways up top. Looks like the contoured stem is default, but can turn into almost a Sliver.

Got my pair last night and gave them a test drive this morning. The fit is great, but I don't see why it comes with prizm sport lenses. This is definitely a lifestyle pair to me

It's meant to be a cross over pair (pun intended) strait sliver like stem and then no unobtaium noes for every day. Unobtanium ear and nose for activities like urban biking , golf and other low impact sports.

My understanding is that is a concept image. Blinder probably got passed on.

Is there a specific reason for the two holes on each earstem?

Also, I noticed that these keep appearing and disappearing on the new arrivals page at oakley.com (but nothing comes up if you click on it). Are they not really available yet?

Has anyone seen the warning camo color-way in person? Is it actually camo? It's hard to tell in the photos I've seen of the non-XL version.
