Hey everyone. I've been on OakleyForum for a few months and decided I would pop in here as well. I've always worn Pro M Frames and was not happy when they discontinued them. I started collecting them at that point to make sure I would have enough sets for the long run. That's when the addiction started and I haven't looked back.

I like Mumbos, 1st/2nd Gen M Frames, Pro M Frames, Magnesium M Frames, and Over the Tops. I think I have around 72 pairs and tons of replacement lenses.

So I’ve been a member here for over a year now. The total number of pairs has grown considerably since this thread was posted.

I figured I would share a few pics of my collection. If you can’t tell, I like M Frames.

Very nice, especially the Snakeskin and Strip lens pairs.

Thanks, Oak. Those are 2 of my favorite pairs. I see you also have an M Frame Snakeskin/Strip in your collection. I purchased my pair from Royal Lion. I was told they were originally created for an archery team and were owned by Mike Bell. Can you confirm or add any details about your pair?

I’m sure some of them went to the archery team. Some other pairs went to other athletes. I suspect it was a test to see if a frame coating of that nature would work, but it ultimately failed for consumer use. As you know, the coating is paper-like and very fragile; it would not hold up to many lens changes or even sweat/oils from regular use. There are other models with the same snakeskin-like covering such as the Blade. Other colours, too. banarno has the red snakeskin M Frame in his collection.

I'd say you've been busy. Love seeing such a consistent collection, plus all the hidden gems. Nice one on the snakeskin pairs. I always heard those were created 'just because they could'. Things were more relaxed at the time, so if they felt like seeing if they could wrap a frame in snakeskin, they would.
