I recently purchased an Emerald Mars complete in the box after a long time searching. It was worn a couple of times and stored away. The box is the original but the serial numbers do not match and the serial on the box starts with a P and not an M. Much like the Ruby, I've never seen one with a matching serial box. (Until I recently saw a matching Ruby), but the only 3 I have seen have these boxes with "P" serials. Does anyone have or know of an Emerald Mars with a matching serial box? Trying to confirm if it does indeed exist.

Congrats on picking one up with the box. Yes, matching serials do exist. They are few and far between nowadays because they typically were sold with mismatched boxes since the vast majority went through Sunglasses Hut, and they didn't know about the serial matching thing. There were at least two offered by members here in the 2006-2008 timeframe. I really wanted them specifically for the matching serials, but I was not able to pull the trigger on them before they sold. Haven't searched for them in the last few years, however.

Awesome, that's the first confirmed sighting I've heard of. So the hunt continues! Thanks!

Best of luck on your search. Due to the distribution, they are certainly one of the rarest X-metals to final complete and matching. Definitely a holy grail item.

I've only had one boxed mars, and upon opening the seal, the box and frame numbers didn't match. I think it has something to do with how the serials were unique to frame type, not colorway.
