It seems criminal that one of the best Oakley products in a while doesn't have its own thread.

I thought it would be the Madman that would get all my love for the first half of 2015, but the novelty on that one subsided real quick. It turns out the Jawbreaker is the model that has all my attention right now. Great futuristic design coupled with fantastic wearability (lightness and fit) and Prizm lens technology represents all that's good about the company. The only bad thing is the use of pins to hold earstem to orbital.

Good call on the thread Oak.

I've been wearing mine almost every day. Granted I wear them for the sport specific purposes on the bike. For what they were designed for, they function extremely well. I haven't worn a Radarlock or Racing Jacket/Jawbone since getting these.

Love the design, the fit, the weight, the field of view with the taller lens. They remind me of a modern-day EyeShade. Venting is great, and even though it has the frame around the entire lens, the peripheral viewing area is great; which was an issue with the Racing Jacket/Jawbone.

I do prefer a sport frame that has the frame around the entire lens, as do most cyclists. Not sure how many are aware of this, but in the event of a crash at high speeds on a bike where the head takes the impact, open frame lens like the Radarlock, will often slice a riders check open. This is one reason why I preferred my Racing Jacket/Jawbone; the frame actually pushes again the check, and would leave a bruise instead. Cavendish was instrumental in the design of these and he is a sprinter, one of the fastest in the world; and is no stranger to high speed crashes which come with the territory of sprinting. (Recall last year at the TDF when we all first spotted the prototypes on him; he crashed out during the sprint of Stage 1.)

I've put close to 200mi on the bike wearing them and I'm still pleased.

It's really nice to see how much everyone else likes these frames (that don't ride bikes); I really wasn't expecting to see that. :)

Oakley really hit the mark on these, Super comfortable and super light, straight up from the future (design). Kinda like the fact that the big O is not forcing the array on us (i.e. Radarlock) therefore keeping within most peoples price range.(and it saves me from having a million persimmon lenses)

Full disclosure: I do not ride bicycles very much anymore.

Thanks for posting this!
It's good to hear that those that use these in anger on two wheels like 'em!
I have lamented the limitations of the RJ, and have used the Radar and M Frame almost exclusively on the road now for years.
In light of recommendations herein, I shall start the saving process by riding on glass smooth roads to keep my current racing wheels and tires for another season...

@Oakley cigar - I don't know how "limited" the Uranium Jawbreakers are but they are all I see on the net. They don't seem that limited to me...

John, sorry to get back to you so late... I should've been more clear, I meant I see a lot of people that purchased them on the net (Instagram, etc) I haven't seen them on any websites for sale, but I haven't been looking for them either.

My Home Bunker has all the Uranium except the Jawbreaker; they've had them since they first launched. I keep trying on the Radar EV Path w/ PRIZM Road every-time I go in... they are going to be my next running optics.

I was led to believe they were going to be around for a while, even though they were limited editions.

Nice review Chris - Benjamin

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come for the custom Jawbreaker when they release those in August! Now hoping to see some custom FMJ Chrome ones soon, especially with the Tour de France a little over a month away!
