Hijacking Oak's Idea on this one, but I figured the year is coming to an end.

Recap of 2014
Much like the 2013 recap, the big event was a meetup, but this time more focused and with a tighter group of people. I think the social media and real-time excitement was played up so those who couldn't attend also got to experience it a bit too.

I feel like most of the energy of 2014 is more towards looking at 2015. I think this thread next year will be a bit more interesting, but one thing I've noticed is that certain people are coming back into the fold. I'm seeing comments about some of the upcoming models being the first glasses in a long time that have interested people. Many who have abandoned the hobby for a long while.

Site-wise, I've still been trying to hammer away at features as I have time. I think activity is picking up and we haven't been this busy in a long time. Oakley has also embraced it a bit more, and have provided some opportunities like promos for video reviews and allowing me to help pre-populate the Collector events with worthy people before the public flood comes in.

Purchases in 2014
Massive is all I can say. Here's the jist in image form

For 2015
I'm sort of scared to see how 2015 will be. There's a lot of cool stuff coming, but I don't know if my wallet can handle it.

2014
2014 was a great year for the collection. I achieved all my goals and a lot more, even achieving some that were to be part of the 2015 goals. Unfortunately, I also discovered I've pretty much bought nearly all I want to buy in the Oakley hobby (have no more goals) and added to why I don't really desire to stay as a collector.

2015
That said, I will always be a fan of the brand even if I'm not a collector, I will still use a lot of stuff they put out especially apparel and accessories. Looking forward to what they come out with next in the Metal Works line in 2015 and will grab it if I can put it to good use. I will probably get a Madman or two if they fit, and then proceed to wear the shit out of it. I am thinking my next Rx will be Oakley as well (probably the Lizard), but I have great success with Chrome Hearts and Dita, so we'll see.

Just wanted to say thanks to Dann for running this site. I'm still new here but wanted to say I appreciate all the useful info and the helpful community! Only wish I knew about O-Review sooner!

No major event should be included until 2015, so:

2014
- HQ Visit and O-R meetup (Oh boy, that was fantastic, Rick's handshake on top of everything!)
- Century Club reached
- X-Metal line completed

2015
- Can't wait to see what's coming up
- Deep hope that Oakley France/Europe plans something for Oakley anniversary.
- Purge the collection

2014
Made hardly any purchases. May have gotten 1 or 2 Gen1 M Frame boxes, my best pickup was a never used BNIB Gen1 M Frame Neon Yellow nose+earsock kit. I installed it on a mint white frame with a mint strike lens, but I need another dang box to take a picture and put it away, haha.

2015
Hope to get back to making some awesome Oakley purchases, but I'm not chasing 2015 stuff...
