Hey guys, just wanted to share some vintage Oakley M frames that I recently got my hands on and I was wandering if any of you guys would be able to give me any info on their value and exact year of release.

Thanks in advance

Nice pair! It looks like a 2nd generation M-Frame, but I'll let the experts weigh in on the specifics. You will definitely get to the bottom of it with the help of the members here. In the meantime, check out these threads:

Yes, a Generation 2 frame noted by the Icon on the temple rather than the full Thermonuclear/Classic logo, and the tips of the ear stems extending past the ear socks. The lens is a Clear in the Strike shape, which is one of the more common ones.

We don't typically guess at values here since it's an almost impossible task. The only true way is to do a Completed Listing search on ebay and do an average. The market is so flighty lately that any guess would most likely be wildly inaccurate. Mint in box of course is where things really shine, but much like an old coin that has been in circulation for years, it takes a toll, and when loose, they don't hold up.

Ditto what's said
The clears a nice frame but the crystals very fragile so don't swop lenses too often!
I broke my gen 1 clear
