I have the DVD, so I may have to upgrade to the Blu-Ray.

The DVD is the rough cut which I didn't do. I didn't finish mine in time for the initial release, so it took a few more years for them to issue this one. I did a lot of sound cleanup and was able to rescue a few scenes from the droning of cicadas. I think the dare montage is much improved too.

Some background:

Years ago when video stores were still around, I saw one tape that took me a while to finally rent. Ended up being an ultra-low budget horror movie, but we had a blast watching it. A while later my wife convinced me to send the director an e-mail off his guestbook on his website, and we ended up talking on and off for a while after.

This movie is part 4 of that original one, and he needed fan input/filming for some faux-viral clips that would be in the central montage. My friends and I have done our own movies since we were kids, so we put our best effort in and submitted it. Didn't hear for a while, but then the director contacted me and said his editor flaked out and wondered if I was interested in taking over that task. I've never edited a movie aside from my own home brewed attempts, but who am I to say no.

It took forever with my schedule, but I did finally complete it. All said and done, we're talking about 5 years, but now it's finally released. I don't have a BluRay player, but I have the source files so it was more of a formality. On the scene we filmed, I wore the Pit Boss, my brother wore Romeo 2, my friend the SI M Frame 2, and my wife wore custom Clear Splice
