Just give in JP. Your resistance is futile.

The Terminator pieces are mighty nice.

You can't go wrong with Venom. I was able to get the last lifesize statue of Venom Sideshow put out (designed by Steve Wang of Predator fame):

Very nice, Oak.

I like the McFarlane art behind it almost as much. (almost!)

Finally got a chance to see NECA's life size Rocket Raccoon figure (3 foot in height). The figure retails for $330 and can be bought from places like toysrus.com. I was tempted because a life size Rocket figure would make a great display and conversation piece. Ultimately I passed on it. It's basically some kinda semi-rigid foam wrapped with some kinda sculpted rubber, practically an overpriced plush toy in my eyes. Not the greatest quality material or detailing/sculpting by any stretch, especially if you're used to Sideshow-level detailing. Still the price is pretty good for a life size piece if you're on a budget.

Anyway, here's the statue:

Not too bad looking and it's priced right.

I've never been a big fan of Star Wars, but the quality of their vehicle design, costumes and collectibles is undeniable. Makes me want to get some of this stuff just for display. From Sideshow's SDCC 2015 display comes the 1/6 Tie Fighter:

I like Star Wars but not as big of a geek with it as Transformers/Voltron. That is an incredible display piece though! I kinda feel sorry for Star Wars collectors, they get a lot of cool stuff but it's so much $$$.

If they do the metallic colors like in the card next to it, it's going to be an awesome piece. Luckily every single toy I have transforms in some way, so I'm saved since it's a statue, haha.

The Ultimate Voltron EX coming out later in the year though might be tougher to pass on. My only complaint is that the 1st version looks like it wont have die-cast, which will probably make we wait for another version. I feel like top end Voltron toys should have some die-cast.
