I've thought about the same thing as well.

I shop for my coworkers to try to find them deals, besides outfitting everyone I can in the process. I sold a pair out of my personal collection because the guy really liked them. I couldn't find a great deal, so I sold for what I paid. It was hard but I felt good in the joy I brought him. I turned around and bought another colorway of a pair I liked more instead of replacing. I currently wear all of my collection, albeit some more than others, of course. So it is a thought. Will I do it? Probably not...

I DO have McFarlane's Spawn Series 1-20 figures, mint in box, - Spawn ONLY from each series. I have about 86 figures or so including many imports, collector's club exclusives, fish tanks, repaints, variants and so on. So I do have a form of McFarlane art as well as a growing Oakley collection :) - rsuarez1982

I don't think I'd even like work out how much I've spent on my collection.

I used to have it tallied at the bottom of the collection page, but haven't added it back in since the redesign. I think I'm scared to.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I would not hesitate to trade my entire collection for a Todd Mcfarlane Spider-man or Amazing Spider-man cover. It's a foregone conclusion, and the only thing to work out is when the other party will come with a U-Haul to pack everything up. Of course, the probability of an Oakley collector also being a collector of Todd Mcfarlane art is next to nil. A little more probable but still unlikely is an Oakley collector willing to buy a cover piece and then working the trade (whether and when one comes available for sale is another story). Still, a man can wish. It'd be a blockbuster trade for the ages, that's for sure.

After thinking more, my dream trade could also be a partial one. A good chunk of my collection for other "lesser" Todd Mcfarlane art such as this (seller is asking $40k);
